Virtual Physical Therapy

Telehealth Physical Therapy is the most convenient way for you to receive physical therapy from the comfort of your home or ANY location you choose! All you need is a mobile device (laptop, smartphone or tablet) and an internet connection! It’s that easy! Once you and your therapist are connected via Zoom, our preferred platform for Telehealth, you will be able to see each other on your screens. Your therapist will take you through a thorough assessment, discuss with you what’s going on, what the plan is to reach your goals, and how long it will take to get there. During your follow up virtual physical therapy visits, your therapist will discuss your progress, teach you self care techniques to address your pain and mobility limitations as well as educate you on what are the do’s and don’t of your injury, and how to build strength so your body builds resilience and robustness. By the end of the session, you will have a clear understanding of what’s going on, what you will be working on at home, and how you will be progressing forward towards your goal.

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

Deep Tissue Laser therapy treatment is safe, painless and fast. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy treatments are administered in 5 to 10 minutes. Typically patients see results after 3 to 5 treatment sessions. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy light energy to stimulate cellular activity for recovery to happen. Despite fast treatment times, laser therapy treatments initiate a healing process that continues to actively reduce inflammation for up 24 hours after treatment. Normatech Recovery Session

Normatec compression boots are a recovery compression system that utilize air or pneumatic compression in a sequentially pulsating manner. The boots are squeezing in a step-by-step manner from the foot all the way up to the hip in the same direction that your lymphatic system flows. They can aid in the removal of all those waste products that are produced after a heavy bout of resistance training or endurance training and help you get ready for your next training session. Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Screen

A TPI golf screen is a physical assessment of multiple movement patterns that are important to the golf swing. The physical screen assesses how well your body can move and support itself during the golf swing. Based on the results of this screen, your physical therapist can prescribe a custom tailored golf fitness program specific to your imbalances. This customized program will not only increase your speed, power and accuracy during your swing, but will also decrease your risk of injury and keep you playing longer.

Functional Movement Screen (FMS)

The FMS is a tool used to identify asymmetries which result in functional movement deficiencies. The FMS aims to identify imbalances in mobility and stability during seven fundamental movement patterns.

The FMS consists of seven movement patterns which require mobility and stability. The seven following movement patterns are scored from 0-3 points, with the sum creating a score ranging from 0-21 points.

  1. Deep Squat
  2. Hurdle Step
  3. In-line Lunge
  4. Active Straight-leg Raise
  5. Trunk Stability Push-up
  6. Rotary Stability
  7. Shoulder Mobility

The FMS was intended to serve as a screen to identify individuals with functional movement deficits that could indicate an increased risk of injury.

Treadmill Running Video Analysis

If you are an endurance athlete and sidelined due to an injury, it’s important to have a treadmill running analysis done. This slow motion video analysis can identify asymmetries and in-effeciencies in your running gait that may correlate with your injury. Based on the results of this video analysis, your physical therapist can create a customized program to maximize your running efficiency, decrease your risk of future injury as well as improve your running performance. ​
