Dr. Tejal Ramaiya

Dr. Tejal was born in England, moved to Africa, then migrated to the United States with her family at the age of 4. Up until the age of 10, she moved around many places until she finally settled in Pennsylvania where she was mostly raised. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience after which she attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently Rutger’s University) to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since graduating in 2002, she worked at many facilities including hospitals and outpatient orthopedic private practices. She truly enjoys working with the active middle aged adult who wants to live a pain-free and active life.

Dr. Tejal earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2002. After that, she has always priorities growth and learning in all aspects of her life, professional and personal. She currently holds multiple certifications in:

  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Graston Technique
  • Trigger Point Dry Needling
  • Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Assessment

She also has extensive training in postpartum and pelvic floor physical therapy, exercise prescription and various techniques in manual therapy.

Core Values: Always keep learning. Family first. Connect emotionally. Work hard, play hard.

I am the owner and love working with my amazing team. I specialize in working with 40-plus active adults who want to continue to run, lift, play golf, pickleball, tennis and live a great life.

I want to help get patients back to participating in their favorite activity without pain!

I like my team, the energy, the vibe and the relationship with our patients.

When not working I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, walking, and lifting.

Dr. Tejal’s office is incredible. I came into her practice a few weeks ago barely able to walk, care for my child, or perform basic daily functions. She suggested physical therapy and dry needling. I have only had just a few sessions and I am already able to live again! I am truly grateful for the support, expertise, and dedicated care that Dr. Tejal and her team are giving me. – Sincerely, a very grateful patient!

I only have great things to say about Body Moksha and Tajal (and team). Tajal is very knowledgable in all areas of physical therapy as well as dry needling, but for me she also stands out for being very friendly and compassionate. I usually come in for dry needling, which I use to address my chronic back pain as well as the occasional sports injury. One dry needling session with Tajal will have your strained muscles feeling much better and help you get back to the activities you love. She and her team are 10/10!

Dr Ramaiya and her team are very knowledgeable and quickly designed a plan to help me overcome a severely strained back muscle. The back muscle injury was present for over a year and after multiple unsuccessful visits with other PT’s – Dr Ramaiya was able to get me going again on the golf course within a month or so- I don’t normally take the time to write reviews so that in and of itself tells you my PT experience was exceptional!!
