Dr. Tejal Ramaiya

PT, DPT, CSCS, CMTPT/DN, TPI-MP2 · Founder & CEO

I was born in England, moved to Africa, then migrated to the United States with my family at the age of 4. Up until the age of 10, I moved around many places until I finally settled in Pennsylvania where I was mostly raised. I attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience after which I attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently Rutger’s University) to pursue my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since graduating in 2002, I worked at many facilities including hospitals and outpatient orthopedic private practices. I truly enjoy working with the active middle aged adult who wants to live a pain-free and active life.

At Body Moksha

The work, and why it matters.

I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2002. Since then, I have always prioritized growth and learning in all aspects of my life, both professionally and personally. I currently hold multiple certifications in:

I also have extensive training in postpartum and pelvic floor physical therapy, exercise prescription, and various manual therapy techniques.

As the founder and owner of Body Moksha Physical Therapy, my focus is on building a business that delivers an exceptional patient experience while creating a great place for our team to work and grow. I’m passionate about building a team of talented, driven, supportive and compassionate people who genuinely care about what they do and the people they serve.

I focus on leading and developing our team, creating a strong culture, managing the financial side of the business, and developing strategies for continued growth. I also love building relationships within our local business community and finding ways to support and learn from one another.

My goal is to build a team and a practice that set the standard for what physical therapy should be — clinically excellent, relationship-driven, and deeply connected to the community we serve.

I want to change how transactional healthcare has become. Health is the foundation of everything — our ability to work, care for our families, do the things we love, and enjoy life. Yet too often, patients feel rushed, unheard, and treated like a diagnosis rather than a person.

I believe healthcare should be personal, holistic, and relationship-based. Our health is about so much more than an injury or a diagnosis. It’s about how we move, what we eat, how we think, and the fears and challenges that shape our lives.

I created Body Moksha Physical Therapy to offer a different kind of experience: truly individualized, one-on-one care where we take the time to understand the whole person, build meaningful relationships, and help people feel their best. From the very first interaction, we want every patient to feel genuinely cared for — like they are our only patient.

I am incredibly proud of the team I have built. Not only are they exceptionally skilled in their clinical practice, but they possess a deep, genuine compassion for our patients and each other. Watching our long-term patients continue to return over the years is one of the most rewarding parts of my job; it serves as a testament to our growth and confirms that the environment we have cultivated is truly valued by those we serve.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family. I love traveling, exploring new places, and eating new foods. I enjoy taking care of my health, eating foods that nourish me, and moving my body so I can feel strong and energetic.
