Meet The Team

Dr. Tejal Ramaiya, PT, DPT, CSCS

Since 2002, Dr. Tejal Ramaiya has been helping athletes and active adults get back to the workouts and training they’re missing out on when everything else has let them down. She primarily works with competitive or amateur triathletes, runners, golfers, and any athletes or active adult who prioritizes health and fitness. She received her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2002 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004 from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Upon graduation from physical therapy school, she took on a number of positions in outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy where she served a variety of clientele including post-surgical cases, sports injuries, pediatrics, triathletes, and geriatrics. Over the years, she has earned a number of specialized certifications including:

  • Certification in Strength and Conditioning
  • Trigger Point Dry Needling
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Graston technique
  • Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Assessment
  • Functional Movement Screening and Selective Functional Movement Assessment

In 2016, she felt a need in the physical therapy space for higher quality care, service and patient experience. This lead to the opening of Body Moksha Physical Therapy in Chatham, NJ where she has been helping athletes reach their goals daily.

Dr. Leah Connerty, PT, DPT

Dr. Leah Connerty earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University. Prior to her graduate studies, Leah attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges where she majored in Biology and minored in Health Professions with a concentration in Mind and Body. Leah’s journey to becoming a physical therapist began as a patient herself as she was in and out of PT with various injuries related to soccer. Leah has a personal understanding of what it takes to participate in injury rehabilitation as a young, high-level athlete and understands the demands of regaining full sport level performance.


Leah has extensive experience in treating active adults with long standing pain. Additionally, Leah specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and has been trained through Herman & Wallace. She is especially passionate about equipping women at all stages of motherhood with movement-based tools to live a full and vibrant lifestyle without compromise. Leah’s favorite part of her job is getting to celebrate the “little victories” with her patients.


Outside of work, you can find Leah cooking meals to feed her friends and family. She looks forward to sharing recipes with you!

Dr. Anakaren Lopez, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Anakaren Lopez started her academic career at The University of Louisiana at Monroe where she completed her Bachelor of Science with focus in Kinesiology while also competing as a cross country and track and field athlete. She then went to New York University (NYU) where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During her time at NYU she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) which allowed her to teach group classes and private clients. Following her graduation, she worked full time in the outpatient orthopedic clinic setting. In conjunction to working full time she managed to complete her Orthopedic Residency, and successfully became a distinguished Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association. She has taken numerous post doctoral coursework in relation to women’s health, manual therapy, post-operative care, pediatrics and sports rehab. She is passionate about empowering her patients to live life to their fullest and finds the best plan of care to get her patients to achieve their goals. She particularly likes working with pre and post partum individuals, tri-athletes, and marathon runners where she integrates a Pilates approach.

During her free time, you can find Anakaren enjoying time with her family, in the great outdoors or practicing Pilates/Yoga

Kelly Ryan, Client Success Manager

Kelly earned her AAS in 2009 majoring in Paralegal Studies. She has a background in sales, with a focus on customer growth and success. Kelly lives in Union County and lived in Colorado during her school years. She loves to visit her family and friends there every year. On the weekends you can find her out and about with her family of four; at the lake, the beach, in the mountains or entertaining and cooking for friends at home.

Tony Torres, Marketing Specialist

Tony studied at Montclair State University majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He was born and raised in Northern New Jersey and enjoys being outdoors with his dog, Ollie. In his free time he loves to go on mountain biking excursions with his friends when he’s not on the roads getting a good workout. He truly enjoys sharing his passions with others and can’t wait to meet the rest of the Body Moksha Community!
