Meet The Team

Dr. Tejal Ramaiya, PT, DPT, CSCS, Owner

Since 2002, Dr. Tejal Ramaiya has been helping athletes and active adults get back to the workouts and training they’re missing out on when everything else has let them down. She primarily works with competitive or amateur triathletes, runners, golfers, and any athletes or active adult who prioritizes health and fitness. She received her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2002 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004 from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Upon graduation from physical therapy school, she took on a number of positions in outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy where she served a variety of clientele including post-surgical cases, sports injuries, pediatrics, triathletes, and geriatrics. Over the years, she has earned a number of specialized certifications including:

  • Certification in Strength and Conditioning
  • Trigger Point Dry Needling
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Graston technique
  • Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Assessment
  • Functional Movement Screening and Selective Functional Movement Assessment

In 2016, she felt a need in the physical therapy space for higher quality care, service and patient experience. This lead to the opening of Body Moksha Physical Therapy in Chatham, NJ where she has been helping athletes reach their goals daily.

Dr. Leah Connerty, PT, DPT

Dr. Leah Connerty earned her Doctorate of Physical therapy in February 2021. Prior to her graduate studies, Leah attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges where she majored in Biology and minored in Health Professions with a concentration in Mind and Body. Leah’s journey to becoming a physical therapist began as a patient herself as she was in and out of PT with various injuries related to soccer. Leah has a personal understanding of what it takes to participate in injury rehabilitation as a young, high-level athlete and understands the demands of regaining full sport level performance.

Leah has extensive experience in treating active adults with long standing pain. Additionally, Leah specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and has been trained through Herman & Wallace. She is especially passionate about equipping women at all stages of motherhood with movement-based tools to live a full and vibrant lifestyle without compromise. Leah’s favorite part of her job is getting to celebrate the “little victories” with her patients.

Outside of work, you can find Leah cooking meals to feed her friends and family. She looks forward to sharing recipes with you!
